THEThe Basilica of Collemaggio boasts the presence of 22 works of art: Saint Anthony with Child (a polychrome carved wooden statue from the 18th/19th century, 130 centimetres high), a crucifix (105 centimetres) in a gilded metal alloy from the 18th century; another wooden crucifix from the same period, 136 centimetres high; a wooden tabernacle dating back to the 19th century, gilded with silver mecca and polychromy; 8 “twin” reliquaries from the 18th century in wood and a layer of gilding with metal leaf; a further reliquary from the 18th century with a wooden structure, carved and gilded; 8 anthropomorphic reliquaries dating back to the 18th century and representing an arm with a blessing hand, approximately 12 centimetres high, and an urn from the 18th century, carved and gilded, 78 centimetres high. After the 2009 earthquake, these works of art were transferred to Celano, awaiting restoration carried out by the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila.
